Alternative Materials | Piggies

This semester project focuses on creating original necklaces inspired by the jewelry collection “Casting Pearls Before Swine” by artist Minka (Martina Klbečková).

The goal was to complement the original set with my own creations, responding to its designs through the use of different materials.

My necklaces, titled “Piggies”, are made from plexiglass, glass pearls, and beads strung on wires.

I aimed to highlight playfulness, simplicity, and lightness. At the same time, the jewelry reflects a sense of brutality and darker undertones. This allows the pieces to resonate with the original collection while maintaining their distinct identity.
