Mamluk

This wooden brooch complements the Mamluk collection by Egyptian jewelry designer Azza Fahmy. The collection is inspired by Mamluk architecture, which historically existed in Egypt. The brooch is made of walnut and maple wood, decorated with intarsia and complemented by a brass pin. On the side is an engraved Arabic inscription with a quote from Umma Kulthum, whose work inspires Fahmy in the creation of her original jewelry.
