Metamorphos | Alternative material

An unconventional face jewel inspired by the unique work of the designer Märta Mattsson.

The jewel is made by the technique of embroidery on a translucent fabric. It also uses aluminum wire, which by holding the shape of wings pulls the object from a flat surface into three dimensional space. It is intended to be worn on the bridge of the nose, whilst it covers the wearer’s eyes.

Märta Mattsson’s collections explore decomposition, rebirth and tension between natural parts of nature and life. ‘’Metamorphos’’ therefore deals with rebirth and the tension between attraction and repulsion.
