Roadman

A mask made of asphalt and waste is a metaphor for Czech roads and drivers alike. The hard yet fragile material symbolizes the anonymity behind the wheel, we present ourselves as tough, but beneath the surface lie nervousness and haste. The waste in the mask refers to the thoughtlessness that remains along the roads and creates an image of an environment where consideration is lacking. Roads, then, are not merely routes between cities, but also a mirror of society, revealing how we are, or are not, able to function together.
