Shadowplay is a grim adventure, inspired by the life of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis, and his work and lyrics.

The player moves around the environment and interacts with objects and the world by the command console so that he can solve all the puzzles, find the hidden easter eggs and continue in the storyline of the game.

The overall mood of the game is dark to gloomy. The plot takes place at night and is set in the 1970s, which corresponds to the inspiration and design of the environment.
