Compost

Compost, nature’s climate champion, was the entry for the worldwide poster competition to promote composting. I used real compost and the cyanotype technique to create my poster. I illuminated the collected parts from the compost with the help of the sun and created 3 cyanotype images, which were then re-toned in black tea from blue to brown. Then I scanned them and digitally overlaid the layers, because even compost works in layers. I wanted to prove that ordinary trash can look beautiful, can be a champion of beauty.
