My project focused on infographics for the presidential election was inspired by the desire to revitalize and clarify the visual presentation of important information related to the electoral process. My first step consisted of a thorough research of graphics related to previous presidential elections. Examining past visual material gave me insight into different design approaches, not only in conjunction with the presidential election, but also in the general context of election infographics. Based on the information I gathered, I decided to take a design approach based on minimalism. The simplification of graphic elements and the removal of unnecessary details aimed to bring visual clarity and increase the clarity of the infographic.
