Reinterpretation of visual direction – Impressionism

This work focuses on translating Impressionist painting into digital media, reinterpreting its visual style, and reflecting the ideas of artists from this movement. Impressionism emerged in the late 19th century and had the greatest impact on painting. I was inspired by Claude Monet and his effort to capture fleeting moments through series paintings under different lighting and weather conditions. Using TouchDesigner, I created a texture resembling Impressionist brushstrokes. The movement of the texture is driven by surrounding sounds, reflecting the influence of the plein air environment on the Impressionists.
