Video mapping / Záhorská galéria Jána Mudrocha

As part of the Motion Design course, we focused this semester on creating a video mapping project for the 40th anniversary of the Záhorie Gallery of Ján Mudroch in Senica. Each of us was tasked with animating a selected painting by Mudroch, and my choice was this still life.

The first step was to divide the painting into individual layers using Adobe Photoshop, where the “Generative Fill” feature helped me generate the background behind the still life and the vase’s neck using artificial intelligence. This otherwise very time-consuming and demanding process was reduced to just a few clicks. I then transferred the layers into Adobe After Effects, where I began animating.
