Sinequo

  • SINEQUO is a combat-racing game that takes players into the era of the mechanical Renaissance, where horses have been replaced by the first self-propelled steel machines. The name originates from the Latin expression “Sine Equo”, meaning “without horse”. At the core of the gameplay is a unique mechanic for switching between intense 3D racing and a 2D technical blueprint dimension. In this “planning” mode, the world transforms into a living sketchbook, allowing players to strategically modify their machine mid-race, adapt to track hazards, and strategize.

The game was created as a concept for the “Space to Space” assignment.

A non-linear track traversing various medieval biomes. The green zones mark dimensional rifts—gateways into the 2D environment.

  • The experience is complemented by competitive multiplayer featuring global leaderboards, a ranked system, and support for local lobbies. For solo players, the roguelike campaign allows you to earn permanent upgrades for your machine after every successful race. However, a single total defeat marks the end of your run, resulting in the loss of all current progress.
