During my studies, I was inspired by nature and my surroundings and applied my knowledge to my work. In my senior year, I learned about generative and parametric modeling, which I was very excited about, and I used the appropriate software to create an organic design that uses these methods to reflect the nature and authenticity of nature in design. The table lamp with an organic pattern is inspired by the natural world of mushrooms. It uses a combination of two different materials – 3D printing and glass. I chose 3D printing because it allows even more complex shapes to be converted into a real form and also offers different types of filaments. The glass has a spongy shape that is hand-blown and the two materials complement each other.
