The thesis deals with the development of an urban electric longboard in collaboration with JetSurf. The emphasis is on performance, practicality and safety. The final product respects the technical, ergonomic and manufacturing requirements that define its shape. It also takes into account the user’s needs with regard to safety and riding comfort.
The process was also enhanced by the use of artificial intelligence to create a database of inspirations. The outputs explored colour variations, different design solutions and shaping.
Based on this database I started the sketching phase to find the optimal morphology of the product.
The final design had to respect the technical and structural aspects that eventually shaped the final form.
The resulting design uses a monochromatic colour scheme for a minimalist look.
