A product – it does not end with the implementation.
The concept of our curriculum focuses on design practice on several levels: production – user – ethics. We emphasize knowledge of materials, technology and ergonomics, as well as the ability to think about products from the end user’s perspective.
Long-term sustainability as well as ethical and environmental responsibility are integral to the design process, as are issues leading students to complex design thinking.
We often address the design of not only the product, but also its packaging and means of sales promotion. It is therefore essential that we are able to think in context and appropriately for the given assignment. When we design, we also focus on its complex content – from sketch to model or functional prototype to the presentation of the project.
Collaborative practice helps us to gain feedback and look critically at our work.
