Paperweights Inspired by Geometry

Trio of paperweights realised in three distinct materials — stainless steel, epoxy resin and ash wood — taking inspiration from intersections of cylinders and blocks.

The paperweights also serve as organizers for stationery.

The paperweight made of stainless steel is based on the intersection of the cylinders and the block in a horizontal plane. It is carved by means of a laser rotary axis and subsequently sanded and polished.

The paperweight made of epoxy resin is based on the intersection of the block with the cylinder in a diagonal direction. The resin was clouded with fine sand and cast in a rubber mould.

Wooden paperweight based on the intersection of cylinders and blocks in the vertical plane. Created by drilling through an ash block followed by wax finish.
