Canis lupus

For my fairy tale inspiration, I chose the classic story of Little Red Riding Hood.
I designed the ballet flat to reflect this tale both through its overall styling and the materials used. The outsole is decorated with twigs and needles from coniferous trees, symbolizing the forest where the story takes place. The textured upper evokes the wolf’s fur, while the red lining represents Little Red Riding Hood herself – her iconic cloak as well as the motif of blood, which is an inseparable part of the tale.
