FRAGMENTS

The project Fragments explores an optical illusion created by disrupting a continuous outline. Scalloped and broken edges replace the expected straight boundary, causing visual uncertainty – the eye struggles to determine where the object ends and where space begins. The result is a sense of flatness and ambiguity, with forms appearing cut-out or digitally glitched. The illusion is applied to footwear and a bag, where the fragmentation of the edge alters the perception of volume, mass, and silhouette.
