ReLoop

This project is a collaboration with the Moravian Regional Museum in Brno.

Footwear inspired by the traditional Moravian slipper. Originally designed as men’s outdoor footwear, I transformed this concept into a women’s boot. The main inspiration for me from the museum’s footwear was the knitting. The boot caught my attention because it was largely knitted.

My goal was to create a women’s boot that would radiate delicacy and elegance. I worked with shades of beige and black to underline my intention. I chose yarn made of two materials: merino wool and acrylic. The wool provides warmth while the acrylic helps maintain the shape. I knitted the upper part on a machine, which sped up the process and helped me work more efficiently.
