When given the theme “sandal inspired by stripes,” I reflected on the type of trim I most often encounter as a fashion artist. Which stripe do I most frequently use in my designs? And the answer was clear: ribbons and threads. Among them, the most diverse modifications include hems, ruffles, lacing, etc. Here, I worked with this accessory like a pastry chef with icing, and I perceive this work as a cake. I wanted the sandal’s cut to give the impression that it is melting across the foot. The artificiality is complemented by the textures of selected materials, while plasticity contributes to both bulkiness and childishness. Finally, I complemented the composition with photographs to emphasize the atmosphere, along with a hand-sewn jacket and bell-bottom pants made from recycled materials.
