The jewelry set themed Natura consists of a brooch and a ring made from grapevine roots and silver. In my work, I focused on raw natural materials and their authentic structures, which I sought to preserve as much as possible. This approach was also inspired by my interest in the appearance of prehistoric jewelry, which was created primarily from organic sources. Interventions into the material were therefore kept to the minimum necessary to create a functional and wearable piece of jewelry.
This concept naturally led to the choice of a specific material, with wood playing a dominant role. I was convinced of the particular suitability of grapevine roots by a vineyard owned by my friends, where the roots had no other purpose than being used as firewood. I was thus able to give this material a new life and enhance its value through its combination with silver components.
