sigillum

Sigillum is a circular set of jewelry consisting of two rings, a bracelet, and a necklace, inspired by Hermetic philosophy and its fundamental principles. The work draws on ideas that recur in Hermeticism as archetypal truths: the power of the word, the significance of silence, the return to the primordial substance (materia prima), the perception of the body as a temple, and consciousness as a space that can be sealed and cultivated.

The Latin phrases stamped into sheets of white brass refer to concepts of sealing, concentration, and self-mastery. Here, jewelry does not function merely as decoration, but as a tool of inner discipline and a reminder of responsibility for one’s own thoughts, words, and actions.

The circular form of the individual objects symbolizes wholeness, cyclicality, and protection. Sigillum thus represents a personal seal, a physical object that makes visible the invisible processes of the mind and consciousness.
