SIGNET RING

The concept of the jewelry is based on the historical function of signet rings as personal identifiers and symbols of social status. Today, this role is partly assumed by the fingerprint, which has become a common key to personal data and digital identity.

The ring responds to this shift in the meaning of the seal and reverse its function. Instead of leaving a trace, it protects it. The object is made of silver and serves to protect the fingerprint from unwanted scanning and misuse.

When viewed from above, the jewelry appears discreet, with only three rings visible. The key structural element is positioned on the underside of the finger, where it forms a protective cradle for the fingerprint. The individual parts are connected by a hinged mechanism that allows for the natural movement of the finger while worn.
