The collection of two rings was created as a loose complement to the work of Italian fashion designer Stephanie Curreli, who specializes in original jewelry and textile objects. She draws inspiration and materials for her work from the island of Sardinia, her current home.
The rings explore the theme of the Mediterranean, but viewed from a different perspective through the contrast of materials. The objects combine purely Czech natural materials – shells, river pebbles, river pearls, and burlap. The elements come together without hierarchy, each retaining its own character. The jewelry balances between fragility and rawness, referencing the sea and the inland landscape.
The pair of rings appear as experimental objects on the border between jewelry and small sculptural forms. The whole emphasizes the natural origin of the materials and the dreaminess evident in the form itself.
