This semester project focuses on designing a visual identity for the Children and Youth Olympics (ODM). The main visual motif is a ribbon inspired by the finish tape that athletes run through at the finish line. This element represents success, competitiveness, and rivalry, which are naturally connected to the Olympic spirit. The ribbon is placed inside a square derived from the Zlín logo. The typography follows the official ODM brand manual, and the color palette is inspired by the five Olympic rings.
The visual style is based on dark mode and working with photography, which helps differentiate the identity from the main Olympic Games that traditionally use a white background. The visuals combine static and 3D ribbons along with supporting symbols that further develop and reinterpret the logo.
