On the Edge Between the Visible and the Invisible is the theme of my proposal for the Design on the Border conference. Design operates on the boundary between the inside and the outside a threshold that both reveals and conceals at the same time. Visually, it is understood as a metaphor for permeability: it doesn’t obscure, yet it still creates a physical barrier. In my proposal, glass represents this duality simultaneously transparent and separating. Gradient, as a second expressive element, embodies transition, ambiguity, and tension between opposites. Together, these elements form a visual language that plays with feelings of uncertainty, layering, and movement—and that, to me, is the essence of design on the edge.
