FMK Wayfinding System

A concept of a new wayfinding system for the TBU Faculty of Multimedia Communications (FMK). Its main elements are large room on top of a Moiré effect background. The proposed system utilises large wall signs, door signs, floor arrows and a guide sign to help understand room numbers.

I also proposed a web interface and database system for generating and printing new updated signs when the old ones become outdated ie. due to personnel changes. It is still in development at the time of this work’s publishing.

The Moiré pattern in the background is procedurally generated for every sign, meaning no two are ever the same.
