This project focuses on developing illustration and exploring different art techniques to enrich the creative process and final output. I started with digital illustration, which allowed me to prepare in detail and experiment with composition. I then transferred the designs to linocut, a traditional technique that brought new texture and depth to my illustrations. The theme of the illustrations is flowers, a subject close to me personally.
I also used linocuts as a basis for designing prints for risograph printing. This technique intrigued me with its specific colour rendering and the possibility to create unique print series that combine traditional craft with modern graphics.
The result of the project are postcards and greeting cards that represent the different stages of creation and my experimentation with techniques. I conceived of the project as capturing the process of learning and exploring new approaches that opened the door to further possibilities for combining technology and traditional art in the future. This project is a valuable experience for me that I intend to develop further.
