The assignment for the thesis was a virtual tour, but I decided to take a slightly different approach to this topic. My interest is houseplants, so the focus was clear. I created an app called Roommate, which helps users choose the right houseplant using a filtering system with a few questions. They can then place and view the plant in their own space using the camera and a model of the plant. The plant can be moved around the room as needed, and the app can alert to lack of light or too much direct light. The user can gradually add as many houseplants as they like to their virtual collection. The app also provides basic information about the flower, watering, ideal environment, ideal temperature, etc.
