In the media, the California poppy superbloom is often referred to as the “poppy apocalypse.” This event can even be observed from space, and the masses of tourists and photographers that flood the blooming areas often lead authorities to manage access or even close the areas. With numerous alleged UFO sightings across national parks, deserts, and even around the globe, the question arises: Could it be that the superbloom is not of this world?

The collection is inspired by a humorous interpretation of the mystery of superbloom, phototourists, explorers and rangers at the sites.
