The project is a prototype of a 3D logic puzzle game with an educational character that tests the player’s spatial perception and mathematical thinking.
This game is designed to be entertaining and educational at the same time. Its main target group is students from 6th to 9th grade of elementary school (12-15 years old).
The main mechanic is controlling two characters, between which the player must strategically switch and cooperate with himself to activate switches and overcome obstacles in the environment.
Specifically, the prototype focuses on 3 mathematical principles (symmetry, cartesian coordinate system and area unit conversions). The game offers two gameplay options. “Campaign”, where the player moves from one room to another and gradually completes tasks, and “Endless Mode”, where the player can choose one principle/level and train it endlessly over and over again.
Visually, the game has a very limited color palette with an emphasis on fluorescent turquoise, which marks tasks and interactive objects.
