Revenant Earth 2 is a pixel art sandbox adventure game about rebuilding the ecosystem of planet Earth after a climate catastrophe.
The game builds on the results achieved in my bachelor thesis, which produced a demo version of the original Revenant Earth.
The main goals of this thesis are to bring the original demo closer to the finished game and to advance it in terms of game mechanics, content and interaction with the game environment. The new version emphasizes scientific accuracy and is based on detailed ecological research.

Plants live and die depending on the simulated properties of the atmosphere and soil.

The player can inspect the environment using various tools such as the terrain scanner, which displays features such as soil moisture.

The game features indoor dungeons and a space station level that serves as an introduction and tutorial.

To enable smoother development, I created a game editor, which is a sort of custom lightweight game engine interface.
