My intention was to make a vase with a natural motif. When I thought about the shape of the vase, I was inspired by the shape of an egg. I was in the mood to experiment with the decor. Since my introduction to decorative arts and materials was just beginning, I relied on my own intuition and wishes. I didn’t want to paint the decoration, but to cut it out.
