Orb of Budweis

Project in České Budějovice with the theme of Parallel Universes, Art in the City, and Site-specific.

The concept of my work is to place objects in the streets of České Budějovice. These objects will disrupt the fluidity of the urban environment while also allowing for a new perspective on it. I have decided to use glass spheres, also known as orbs, in combination with an iridescent glass surface. This gives the shapes an unnatural or foreign appearance. Through their shape and surface, these objects create a contrast to the surrounding architecture. The architecture is reflected in them and merges with them at the same time.

I also perceive this project from the perspective of a photographer, and I would like to involve the public in the photographic reflection of the artwork. As part of the presentation of the work, there will be a call to the public to capture the objects in various contexts, from different angles, and at different times of the day.

These photographs can be shared using the Instagram hashtag #budějovickýorb.
