These are too smart watches, which are inspired by Laitneres watch technology, where the watch has a classic movement, but also a display like a “smart watch”. The main inspiration for the look of the watch was a black hole in the middle of our galaxy – the Milky Way, SAGITTARIUS A. The black hole is a big unknown to all researchers, but one thing is for sure, time is the point here. By stylizing the black hole, I achieved 60 rays, which represent 60 seconds per minute. The geometry of the watch and the arrangement are inspired by traditional Czech and Japanese watch brands. Another main task was ergonomics, especially the placement of the controls on the top of the watch, not on the side, due to the bruises on the wrist. To unify the design, I also specially designed hands that correspond to the dial and showing the exact time. I placed a Czech grenade in the middle of the watch. The watch is also combined with a retractable second display, where the user can take calls and control watch applications.
