APORIA

This bachelor thesis explores the presence of Slavic mythology in contemporary everyday life, with the title itself reflecting the state of doubt and the space between rationality and intuition.

The work stems from a fascination with how ancient ideas and rituals naturally emerge in personal experiences and inconspicuous moments of today. Inspired by the spheres of Slavic cosmology — Prav, Yav and Nav — I search for the boundary between the real and the imaginary and explore the relationship of man to time, nature and invisible forces.

Photography here does not serve for a precise interpretation of myths, but is a tool for capturing their atmosphere and persistence in collective memory. It is an intuitive search for a connection between archaic imagination and the present, confronting the boundaries between the visible and the invisible.
