Imprint is a brass handle is based on the concept of the passage of time in relation to our home.
Every time the door is opened, a mark is left on its distinctive relief, and the handle thus serves as physical evidence of our relationship with a special place, inciting self-reflection.
The design combines unconventional organic elements with traditional production technologies.
I chose brass as a material because of its raw surface, which takes on a golden colour when touched. In the same way that an unknown place metaphoricaly turns gold with the touches we leave on it.
I chose the bark motif not only because it symbolizes our heritage or memory, but also because after the surface of the brass is polished by touch, the relief becomes clearly visible, thanks to the golden-dark contrast.
