The mask is my personal interpretation of ritual protection. I was inspired by the transience and fragility of natural structures, particularly decaying leaves that gradually change and fall apart. I deliberately chose a fragile material because it reflects my own sensitivity. However, I did not want to portray sensitivity solely as a weakness. The mask becomes a kind of protective layer between myself and the outside world. This creates a paradox in which something fragile becomes a means of protection. The ritual I imagine is a process of accepting this sensitivity and transforming it into protection.
