Conflict between perceptions

This work presents an innovative fusion of additive manufacturing and fashion design through the technique of 3D printing directly onto textile substrates. The central motif is a geometric optical illusion based on the halftone effect, utilizing the gradation of triangle sizes to create a visual perception of depth and shading. The design intentionally triggers a ‘conflict between perceptions,’ where the observer’s brain continuously toggles between perceiving sharp geometric details and fluid organic motion. The resulting set of shoes and a handbag demonstrates how a mathematically precise grid can achieve a dynamic and futuristic aesthetic for traditional accessories.
