This final project presents the design and implementation of women’s high-top shoes inspired by a poetic moment from the animated film Spirited Away. The specific impetus for the design was a pink bouquet with a farewell card that the main character Chichiro receives from her friend. It was the pink color of this bouquet that became the main color inspiration for the design and symbolizes tenderness, care and the beauty of friendship. The resulting shoes are made of pink leather and complemented by a low heel for comfortable wear. The dominant visual element is the handmade flowers made of tulle and chiffon that cover the upper part of the upper and along with them crystal garlands and pendants from the Czech brand Preciosa. The crystals are partly in the shape of drops or tears, which refers to the emotional depth of farewell and the joy of shared memories. The card motif is transferred directly to the leather using laser engraving, thus gaining a personal dimension. The footwear combines imaginative visuals with an emphasis on detail and handcrafting, creating a wearable pair of shoes with an emotional and artistic overlap.
