This original footwear was created as a loose interpretation of the fairy-tale world of Laputa — the floating city from the film Castle in the Sky. The boot works with the visual motif of levitation: the upper part of the shoe appears to float above the instep, evoking the curled-up island above the landscape. Straps with metal buckles symbolize the city’s fortifications — the walls that protect it from the outside world. The lower part of the footwear is decorated with Czech-made Preciosa glass beads, reminiscent of a blooming meadow beneath the city. The color palette in shades of pink and the gentle sparkle of the crystal decorations enhance the dreamy, almost ethereal character of the entire composition.
