“Brokat” – Minimalist Sandals with a Historical Touch
In my thesis, I focused on creating a unique pair of sandals named “Brokat”. My inspiration came from traditional children’s wooden shoes at the Brno museum, as well as other historical footwear from the same collection. The “Brokat” sandals combine elegance and simplicity, reflecting a minimalist design with an emphasis on detail and quality. For their production, I used leather and brocade fabric, which gives the sandals a luxurious appearance while maintaining comfort and functionality. The result is a modern interpretation of traditional shoemaking, reflecting historical inspiration and contemporary design.
