Optical Illusion

This work presents an original footwear design created on the theme of optical illusion. The main creative intent was to utilize the contrast between black and white leather to create a visual deception that alters the perception of the shoe’s actual shape. The geometric division of the panels makes the shoe appear pointed, even though it is constructed on a square-toe last. The leather upper is complemented by a lightweight EVA sole, which emphasizes the minimalist character of the model. The footwear was designed as part of a cohesive set along with a matching clutch bag.
