The pair of highheel slippers is inpired by the contrast between craft shoemaking and factory production.

It‘s reflecting Baťa’s shift from his roots to his life-work. From high quality leather footwear, long and precise hand work, hours of hardwork and unique pieces to textile low shoes with leather toes, which is practical, cheap to produce and satisfies the masses.

I transfer these differences into two distinct half-pairs, which are nevertheless similar in many ways.
