The concept I have chosen, yin and Yang, has its origins in ancient philosophy and describes two opposing and complementary forces.
Their natures are completely different from each other, and yet they are unconditionally interrelated.
The character of Jin can be imagined as aggressiveness, activity, speed. It’s supposed to be sad, passive, dark.
It corresponds to the night and is symbolized by water and earth, for this reason the basic material of the letters is black clay.
The darker side is an expression of my emotional side. It’s chaotic, it’s gradating upwards.
Jang is a lighter element. It is supposed to act cheerfully, actively, brightly. It corresponds to the day and is symbolized by fire and wind.
To express these qualities, I chose plexiglas. The composition of the light side characterizes a rational approach to life.
It is precisely arranged, successive, graded downwards.
