BUS STATION MOBILE ELEMENT

The primary motif is the circle as a symbol of movement, travel, and the interconnection of pathways. Organically shaped conical elements create new circulation routes, overcome changes in terrain elevation, and simultaneously serve as seating and areas for short-term rest.

The site is located in the central part of the city of Zlín, between the bus station and the 14|15 Baťa Institute. The proposal responds to the transit-oriented character of the area and the lack of amenities and places for short-term stay within the public space.

The structure consists of a 6 mm thick steel shell, a timber supporting frame, and a walking surface made of waterproof plywood. The prefabricated system allows for easy assembly and disassembly. The yellow colour references the industrial identity of the city of Zlín and enhances the visual appeal of the space.
