The thesis focuses on analyzing the processes involved in obtaining various necessary permits for organizing outdoor cultural events in public spaces within municipalities in the Czech Republic. The starting point for the thesis is the fact that event organizers in the Czech Republic face unclear interpretations of legislation, differing procedures across cities and municipalities, inconsistent terminology among authorities, a lack of practical manuals for organizers, and other issues that complicate the realization of cultural events. Among the defined research questions will be an analysis of the relevant legislation related to the chosen topic. Furthermore, the permitting processes in towns and municipalities with more than 5,000 inhabitants, including selected statutory cities, will be examined. The thesis will also include the presentation of model cases of selected permitting processes. The outcome of the analysis and research will be proposed measures to improve and streamline these processes.
