Design of an Educational Programme for the New Kolibiska Site in the Wallachian Open Air Museum

This thesis deals with museum education as a specific area of non-formal education in cultural institutions. The theoretical part is based on academic literature and online sources focused on museology and didactics, with an emphasis on defining current trends in museum education, especially activation methods, visitor participation, and the evaluation of educational programs. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the marketing of non-profit organizations and the process of offering educational programs. The practical part consists of a case study of a selected cultural institution using both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Data are collected through semi-structured interviews and an online questionnaire for students of a local secondary school specializing in tourism. The research aims to analyze the needs of all stakeholders and to develop a proposal for a new educational program for the new Kolibiska area of the Wallachian Open Air Museum.
