This master thesis is concerned with educational programmes in music organizations. The main target was to find out how the educational departments in musical organizations (philharmonics) in the Czech Republic work and whether these programmes are linked to the dramaturgy of the orchestra or not. The data collection was carried out through personal visits and active participation in the educational activities, followed by interviews with employees of the philharmonic. Finally, the thesis outcome describes how the institutions work, what age groups they target and what educational programmes and activities they offer to the public, especially to children.
