The Case Study of Audience Development in the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlin

The case study of the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlin in the field of audience development and audience engagement is focused on evaluating the processes in the gallery. The aim of the study was to increase the accessibility of the gallery and try to understand attitudes, opinions and vision of employees, preferences of the audience and describe factors that affect visitor experience, mainly the role of the new technologies as augmented reality in the exhibition praxis. The outcome is a set of recommendations for improving the accessibility of the gallery. However, the topic is much more complex because of the changing role of cultural institutions in our region, the post-communist context and the confrontation of the needs and wishes of the institution and audience.
