The development of Czech fashion brands and their sustanability

This thesis maps the development of original fashion brands in the context of modern Czech history and their sustainability. It considers the possibilities of educating the new generation in professions needed for realisation of fashion design and for maintenance of the craft standard of haute couture in the Czech Republic.

The goal was to analyse the current situation and create a general overview as a theoretical starting point for starting an effective discussion and searching for conceptual solutions to the issue of sustainability of original Czech fashion. The results achieved by questionnaire survey and expert interviews speak of the need not only to restructure the education of future experts, but also of the need to educate the general public about the values and overall content of the concept of sustainability in connection with fashion.
