AILES

In designing the necklace, I was inspired by the Art Nouveau jeweler Georges Fouquet and his characteristic work with lightness, symbolism, and decorative elegance. The wing motif refers to the Art Nouveau fascination with natural forms, movement, and the dream of flight. The golden color scheme reflects Fouquet’s aesthetic of luxury and ornamentation. The wings are made of shrink plastic, which gives them a sense of lightness and delicacy, and they are enhanced with gold flakes. The central element of the necklace is a freshwater pearl, which connects the decorative Art Nouveau inspiration with the natural beauty of organic material.
